WHPL Mission Statement

The West Hartford Public Library will be the leading provider of information
through free access to collections, programs and services—for our diverse community.

Goals for 2008–2010 to meet this mission will be to:

  1. provide collections and resources that support life-long learning, literacy and personal growth and enrichment for our diverse community.
  2. provide resources for all townspeople to become better informed about their community and government at all levels and to make knowledgeable decisions in daily life.
  3. strengthen internal and external communications.
  4. offer a diverse variety of quality programs for the enrichment of the West Hartford community.
