Notary service is at times available during weekday hours, and on some evenings and weekends. Please make sure a notary is available by first calling the reference desk at the library branch you intend to visit. There is $5.00 charge per signature for notary service.

When you reach the library, there may be a short wait until a notary is available. If you need multiple notarizations, the notary may not be able to assist you.

Notary service may also be available at West Hartford Town Hall during regular business hours of the Town Clerk: 860-561-7430.

• Bring a photo ID, such as a valid driver's license, and another current form of identification with your signature. NOTE: A social security card may not be used as an ID.
  
• Do not sign the document until you are in the presence of the notary.
  
• If your document requires additional witnesses, please bring them with you.
  
• There is $5.00 charge per signature for notary service.
