Construction Update
 
The construction at the Noah Webster Library, 20 South Main Street, was completed in Jan. 2008.

Highlights of the Renovation:

bullet An additional 17,000 square feet was added to the building, increasing the library's size to almost 60,000 square feet.
bullet The children's area more than doubled, with expanded space for preschoolers, programs and materials.
bullet The number of computers more than doubled with the addition of a computer training lab.
bullet Accessible elevators, entrances and rest rooms were added to all public areas putting the building into compliance with "The Americans with Disabilities Act."
bullet A safe and comfortable teen room was built to stimulate and educate our 21st century students.
bullet A new community meeting space was added, plus a smaller meeting room for groups of up to 24 people.
