Discussion Group: The New Yorker Magazine

New Yorker mag iconThe New Yorker magazine discussion group meets at 11:00am on Fridays at the Noah Webster Library, 20 South Main St., in West Hartford Center. We gather in the library Board Room on the uppermost level, the mezzanine. Each issue is discussed in its entirety.

No reservations required. All who have read the issue are invited to attend. Simply show up just before 11:00am on Friday, make a name card, and take a seat (the library opens at 10:00am). Bring a beverage or quiet snack, if you like. New Yorker magazine group

• Noon - 12:30  Reviews, fiction, poetry, and all else

Please park in the nearby Isham Garage. Your parking will be validated. Just come into the library and head straight for the reference desk, where you will enter in your license plate number into a validation tablet. Covered beverages, and snacks, may be brought to the discussion.

The New Yorker website

For West Hartford residents, The New Yorker magazine is now available online via the library's RB Digital subscription, suitable for any internet-connected device or computer.  Free hard copies of each New Yorker are distributed at the end of each meeting. Additional copies of the magazine may also be available at the Information Desk at the Noah Webster Library; please ask a librarian.

Online and print copies of The New Yorker have been provided with funding from the library's Thomas Kilfoil Memorial Bequest since May 2, 2014, when the discussion group began.
