This community-oriented branch in the Elmwood section offers a complete array of services.
Special features include:
            A WELCOME CENTER featuring books and DVD’s in the primary 4 non- English languages
            spoken in the area (Spanish, Portuguese, Chinese and Vietnamese) plus materials on
            learning English. Community members were involved in the selection of these materials. 
Regular programs include:
            A weekly drop-in English conversation class (PRACTICE ENGLISH)
            A monthly poetry-writing group (FAXON POETS)
            An ongoing RACE MATTERS film and book discussion series
            A monthly adult book discussion
            Occasional “Coffee Talks” to meet with community leaders
            Innovative family and children’s programs and storytimes, featuring one of our most popular             events—an annual outdoor screening of a family film projected onto the wall of the adjacent
            Puritan Furniture building.
