Puzzled by your new pc? Defeated by downloading? Let us help! Our "Tech Therapist" is available Tuesday evenings from 5:30 to 6:30 pm in the Noah Webster Library Learning Lab.
He will do his best to answer your questions about downloadable audio and e books, word processing, basic spreadsheets and presentation software on a first come, first served basis.
Beginner Basics: Computer Skills for Everyone
A four-session hands-on class, limited to 8 students, is held at the Noah Webster Library on Thursday mornings from 10:15–11:45 pm. Students will practice skills demonstrated on a desktop computer with a standard keyboard and mouse.

Learning to use a Mouse
Session 2: What is Word Processing?
Session 3: Using Email
Session 4: Introduction to Internet Searching and using databases

Beyond Beginner: Online Computer Classes
Use your West Hartford Library card to enroll in classes such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher and Adobe Photoshop. Courses are provided by Universal Class and feature feedback and interaction via email and/or chat with qualified instructors.You will need a working email address to enroll in these classes.Call 860-561-6990 for more information.
One-on-One Computer Coaching
Library volunteers offer 45- minute indivdual sessions to assist beginners with basic computer skills, email and internet seraching. Please call 561-6990 to register for an appointment.
