To participate, simply order food from a West Hartford restaurant until May 31st and then submit your receipt as an entry

The U.S. Department of Agriculture partners in local communities to serve free Grab and Go bagged meals. It’s food that’s in, while school is out. There are no income requirements, and any student of the West Hartford Public Schools (WHPS) may enjoy a bagged breakfast and/or lunch.

Free produce and other food items are distributed in bags at Foodshare sites:
• Rentschler Field, 615 Silver Lane, East Hartford
Drive-Thru Process - Monday through Friday from 8:30AM - 12:00PM (Gates close at noon) In order to serve everyone, Foodshare will be providing one distribution of food per car per day. Town Hall Food Pantry operations will continue. Food will be distributed outside of Town Hall (50 S. Main St.) in front of the lobby entrance (across from the flag pole) only at the times below.
Curbside Food Pantry distribution operations are:

• Friday: 10AM - 12PM

St. Thomas the Apostle Church Food Pantry
• Schedule: Fridays from 10:00 am – 2:00 pm. Location: 872 Farmington Avenue, West Hartford
(The day the food pantry is open may vary from week to week.)
Open one day per week, and available to any CT resident who meets the Federal Emergency Food Assistance Program guidelines. Volunteers will be working at least 6 feet apart, unless they're from the same household. Masks and gloves will be available for our volunteers. Clients will remain in their vehicles at all times and bags of food will be placed in their trunks whenever possible.
