Do you know all there is to know about the Katniss, Peeta, Gale and Panem? Test your knowledge against your peers in the Teen Department's "Hunger Games" Jeopardy!

Open to 11-15 year olds, the game will cover all three books and will meet in the Library's meeting room. Registration required. Call the teen room at 860.561.6996. to sign-up.

4th Annual Peeps Contest

Teens and tweens ages 11 - 15

Yes, it's that time of year again. It's time for our Fourth Annual Peeps Contest. This very popular program, sponsored by the Teen Department, will accept entries on Friday and Saturday, March 9 & 10 during library hours. This program is open to teens and tweens ages 11-15. Here are the contest guidelines:

  • Create an original diorama using a scene from your favorite book or movie.
  • Marshmellow Peeps must be used in creating the scene.
  • Additional props can be used too.
  • Label your entry with the book or movie title.
  • Your name, phone number and age must be attached to your entry.
  • Three winners will be chosen by an impartial judging panel. Winners will be awarded first, second and third places prizes.
  • All dioramas will be displayed in the library.
