The West Hartford Public Library system sponsors three writing groups. Each group meets once a month. Meetings are open to the general public and no reservations are needed. Online discussion groups have been established for fiction writers and screenwriters who regularly attend the monthly meetings.

• Faxon Poets meet on the third Saturday of every month from 10 AM to Noon at the Faxon Branch Library of the West Hartford Public Library system. The library is located at 1073 New Britain Avenue in the Elmwood section of West Hartford. All are invited.
• Connecticut Screenwriters meets on the last Wednesday of every month at 7 PM at the Noah Webster Library Meeting Room, 20 S. Main Street, West Hartford. No reservations needed. All are invited. [PDF Flier]
