The Seed Library’s aim is to share the joy of gardening, expand access to seeds, support gardeners of all skill levels, and inspire the community to connect with nature and each other.
Since 2023, we’ve given away thousands of seeds to gardeners of all ages and skill levels! The Seed Library is a collaboration between WHPL and West Hartford Garden Club.
Join us for the 2026 Seed Library Kickoff on March 14! Following the kickoff event, the Seed Library is accessible while supplies last during library hours at all WHPL locations:
- Noah Webster Main Level
- Bishops Corner Service Desk
- Faxon Service Desk
To ensure we can meet the demand for seeds, we kindly ask that you take no more than 3 packets per visit.
